With more than two million visitors (2,350,000), the Rijksmuseum, closes a year of success. This is the third consecutive year in which the museum has attracted more than two million visitors, much more than the projections anticipated. The museum received over 325,000 children for free. More than 128,000 were part of school groups, an increase of 26% compared to 2014. In 2015 the Rijksmuseum was named European Museum of the Year.
