Next 5 June, London will host the BREEAM Awards 2025, one of the most prestigious international awards for sustainable construction. Among the finalists is the renovation project for the Hernán Cortés Building 11, in Santander, designed by Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos, nominated in the Best New Construction, Commercial Project category.
The building, which is the regional headquarters of Banco Santander in Cantabria, has been renovated with respect for its heritage value and adapted to the highest standards of sustainability. With a surface area of 4.000m², it has been awarded a BREEAM Exceptional rating.
The Spanish presence at the awards is completed by the intu Xanadú (Madrid) and Lagoh (Seville) shoppingcentres, finalists in the BREEAM Best Commercial Building in Use category.
